During the long run and broad reach the sky clouded over and there was a hint of drizzle which quickly blew through. The sail to St Mawes was fast and we landed on the usual beach by the Fish and Chip shop. Lunch was a leisurely 90 minutes and the chips were outstandingly good.
The sail back was a beat all the way, with steep wind-against-tide waves which came in threes and stopped progress for the first quarter of the sail.

Five boats continued home, five stopped at the Ferry Boat for drinks, Ice cream and to wait for the tide to rise so that the pull up the beach was shorter.
Some of the sailing today was “Champagne Sailing” with warm F4, full sun and a clear blue sea.
We were joined in St Mawes by several families who drove round and enjoyed a day on the beach.
