Emelita is now in the Veersemere.  From Calais next stop was Oostende.  There was no alongside berth free without rafting up so we were “brave” and did a mooring with a buoy at the stern and bow line either side to the pontoon.  No fingers.  It is very similar to how some moorings work in the med.  Yesterday was Oostende to Vlissingen.  A beat considerably lengthened our expected 28nm sail to the extent as we approached Vlissingen we were bucking a lot of tide and doing 2kts SOG. By the time we tied up last night we had done our first lock(without too much discussion) and our first box mooring.  Yahoo Mail: Search, organise, conquer
