Tamar Camp day 3

The wind was a F3-4 and with mostly clear skies with bubbly clouds three boats set off upriver at 11am. Ged in Peewit, Simon in the internationally famous and media equipped Skismo GP14, and Mel and Steve in a Trio.
The 180 degree corner was difficult with flukey winds and the long straight was a dead run and there was not a moment to relax on the way there or back to Calstock.
We stopped on the jetty and enjoyed lunch at the Tamar Inn.
The return journey was complicated sailing with a solid F4 on the long straight back, moments of vortex sailing and gusts.
We arrived at about 17:00, and then one boat joined the fun at WQSC as it was sailing evening with huge numbers of boats and kids sailing in the river.
The evening finished around a camp fire.
