Poole Camp days 1 to 3

Saturday

We arrived in the wind of Named Storm Kathleen, so we knew no sailing would be done. Having camped and set up we went to the pub for some food and warmth.

Sunday

A windy and dry day, we had first breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea and bbq dinner on the field in glorious sun and way too much wind for sailing. To make it look like a sailing club we rigged some boats.

Monday

Hurrah! Some sailing! Three boats set off Olin F4-5 South to South-East for a downwind sail to Rockley for coffee and discounted muffins. Steve and Mel, Alan and Simon in Trios and Bill in a Pacer. It was full on F5 into a wind against first ebb tide out of Rockley with all boats reefed. It was an exercising beat back to the field for hot drinks and late lunch.
