The day started adequately windy and bright so both boats put to sea. The wind was flukey and fractious for the first 20 mins and everyone was on the wrong tack for the header; we were sailing in vortex affected wind. Once the wind settled in we had a f4-5 from the NE and beat to the harbour entrance, met and avoided the ferry and broad reached on the north side of the island in full sun.
The rest of the day was spent on a lovely holiday in Dorset.
