Having been to Poole and returned home so that the washing machine could go into overload, Roy and Jenny are now away on Emelita.  First leg of their sail to the Netherlands was in a SW F6 and a quartering sea.  Meant supper didn’t appeal. However the passage plan to Calais was 5kts but we averaged 6.4kt meaning Emelita arrived earlier than was planned 

What was not known was that it was a french holiday which meant the free bus from the marina to the ferry port to get signed in to Schengen by the police aux frontiers was not running.  Thank goodness for the electric folding bikes.  We are now officially in Europe heading for Vlissingen.
