Poole day 6

Six days in and the first nice sailing day; SW F3-4, a bit overcast and visibility clear. James and Sandy joined us with the white club Trio and two boats set off for a tour of the harbour with Mel, Steve and Alan in the other. A run to Shell Bay for a short stop on the beach, then a long beat to Rockley via the North side of Brownsea. The weather turned a bit sunny and the day became warm.

The cafe at Rockley was open despite the high storm surge on Monday, and we enjoyed coffee and cake and sandwiches. Getting away from the lee shore was trouble free and then we beat home arriving at 13:00 with enough water to recover. The rest of the day is a Holiday In Dorset.
