Poole Day 9

The day started cold, dewey and still – not a breath of wind until 1pm. As predicted the water barely made sufficient depth to launch, and yet there was enough for Clive to launch his sea kayak and thread the islands and go clockwise round Brownsea. The rest of us had a nice morning on holiday in a lovely location, then packed up and returned home.

The weather at the beginning of the week was off-putting – two ‘named’ storms in two days made for exciting weather, and the latter half of the week was lovely for sailing, and the conditions were good when the tide was in.
