On Saturday 29th January, after the customary excellent organisation by Stephen, over twenty hardy Cody sailors with several dogs met by the ‘last toilet block’, in the West Wittering car park for a bracing walk along the beach to East Head.

Unlike last time we did this walk when we were hit by lashing rain from a passing weather front, this time the weather was quite sunny with a moderate westerly wind. Having not seen one another for several weeks, if not months or years, it was great to catch up with old friends once again.

We walked along the beach around East Head until we found some shelter in the lee of the dunes to sit for a while and eat our picnics.

On returning to the car park some people departed home while others visited to the cafe to get some well-earned warn drinks.

Thank you again to Stephen for organising. It was a lovely opportunity to blow off the cobwebs and to catch up with old friends. – John C
